Few people can work an audience like Nick Cave, few can rock live like The Bad Seeds.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds will perform at Prague’s O2 arena on October 17, 2024, with Ireland’s The Murder Capital appearing as special guests. “This board is serious business! He will get you. Raises, hits. I love that about her,” says Cave about the new Wild God, which is heralded by the title single. “It’s complex, but also deeply and joyfully infectious,” he adds of the album, which, in addition to the current incarnation of The Bad Seeds, also collaborated with Colin Greenwood (Radiohead) and guitarist Luis Almau. The 10-track record is made up of “complicated, interweaving narratives, with the title track Wild God at their center,” adds Cave in his regular newsletter The Red Hand Files.
Nick Cave’s musical history is largely defined by his collaboration with the changing line-up of The Bad Seeds, the current album is no exception. In the five years following Ghosteen, the last Bad Seeds album to date, Cave released Carnage with Warren Ellis and also several soundtracks – among others to Andrew Dominic’s film Blonde. Cave’s rich artistic career, its themes and style, which captivated so many people around the world, are also told in the recently published book of interviews Faith, Hope and Massacre, which Cave conducted with the Irish singer and columnist Seán O’Hagan.
The Bad Seeds in 2024 are Nick Cave, Thomas Wydler, Martyn Casey, Jim Sclavunos, Warren Ellis and George Vjestica.
