Stodola Michala Tučného: A 30th anniversary concert will remind us of the greatest hits of the country legend at the O2 arena Prague on the 30th anniversary of the death of the most famous performer of this genre in the Czech Republic.
A special tribute to Michal Tučný will take place at the largest Czech arena on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The two-and-a-half-hour evening will be hosted by presenter Aleš Háma, and fans can look forward to a wide range of songs by their beloved singer performed by the most famous Czech stars. In addition to Pepa Vojtko, Marta Jandová, Věra Martinová, Tučný’s colleage from Fešáci, Tomáš Linka, the Tučnáci band, and even Michal Tučný’s daughter Michaela, many other popular performers will take the stage. There will also be memories shared by close colleagues, friends, and family, as well as several surprises. The greatest hits will be heard, as well as lesser-known songs from the early years of his career with the Greenhorns and Rangers bands.
“Michal Tučný is, in our opinion, a singer who definitely deserves to be remembered with an anniversary concert. We probably wouldn’t find anyone who has never heard hits like Prodavač, Báječná ženská, or Tam u nebeských bran. His songs are still sung around campfires, are taught in schools, and are hummed by the general public, regardless of whether they listen to country music or not. Through this event, we want to remind people of Michal Tučný’s personality, recall him, and organize a concert that he truly deserves and that we believe he would have had if he were with us today,” says Michal Šesták, concert promoter from the event agency Evil Team.
Even thirty years after his death, Michal Tučný remains a major figure in Czech pop music. Songs like Báječná ženská, Prodavač, Tam u nebeských bran, Pověste ho vejš, or Všichni jsou už v Mexiku have become anthems and continue to resonate across generations, delighting both those who remember him and an ever-younger audience.
